Vanguard reports that Buhari reluctantly approved the said amount after complaining that the money ought to be used for something else other than frivolities.

“To address the situation, government has adopted a general policy to be very prudent in the management of our financial resources, so this year’s celebration is, therefore, in consonance with the cost-saving policy direction of this administration,” the SGF explained.
Lawal further said: “four events have been approved by the president to manage the entire celebration process”.
“The events are: Jumat prayers, international thanksgiving service, ceremonial change of guards and a children’s party.

“Apart from these four events the president will also address the nation on Oct 1.

Kanye West Clears The Air & CONFIRMS That Tidal Is NOT Run By The Illuminati! Good To Know!

Kanye West wants the Illuminati jokes to stop!! Well that's certainly a relief!!
Kanye West followed in his wife Kim Kardashian's footsteps when he recently graced the cover of PAPER magazine, but he also took it a step further by writing his very own cover story about The American Dream!
At least that's what we think it was supposed to be about…
In true Yeezy fashion, the story is filled with tons of tangents and stories about important things like getting high on nitrous gas at his dentist's office!
But the true gem comes when Ye goes on a rant on why he's sick and tired of all of the jokes about Tidal being run by the Illuminati! Yes, this is a real thing! Kanye writes:
"I heard a comment — a joke — about the Tidal press conference being an Illuminati moment. If there was actually an Illuminati, it would be more like the energy companies. Not celebrities that gave their life to music and who are pinpointed as decoys for people who really run the world. I'm tired of people pinpointing musicians as the Illuminati. That's ridiculous. We don't run anything; we're celebrities. We're the face of brands. We have to compromise what we say in lyrics so we don't lose money on a contract."
Wow! We had no idea this was such a pressing issue!
Especially when you consider Tidal has much BIGGER fishsticks to fry considering they JUST had to replace a CEO!
But hey, we guess this whole Illuminati theory is pretty important too!

You Are A Noise Maker – Army Chief, Buratai, Tells Boko Haram Leader

Buratai-e1442856804316
Nigeria’s chief of army staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai has dismissed as mere noise making the claims in a new audio by Abubakar Shekau, the elusive Boko Haram leader.
Buratai described the audio as `another desperate move by the group to find relevance.’
He said the group no longer has the capacity to hold any ground or plan co-ordinated attack on strategic locations or key public facilities.
“I think the new Boko Haram leader, in the latest audio is just trying to sound relevant; but as far as I am concerned, he is irrelevant in the scheme of things, he is irrelevant to me.
“ Have you seen any of them coming out apart from the suicide bombings? You can see the number of terrorists that are escaping from their camps; he is just making noise to remain relevant,’’ he said.
The Army Chief who also reacted to Sunday’s bomb blast in Maiduguri, urged residents of the area to remain calm as measures were being taken to forestall re-occurrence.
He said the bomb attack had provided clues of the remaining areas the insurgents were operating from in the state.
“Sunday’s bomb blast will be among those that will be the last, you can be counting them, it has opened up another window where we can now focus where these attacks are coming from.
“It will not be possible for them to penetrate other areas; for now we have knocked them off areas along from Yobe and some parts of Borno.
“Immediately this incident happened yesterday, I gave directive and we will comb that area thoroughly to identify where they are operating from,’’ he said.

Wizkid Postpones Release of 3rd Studio Album

One of Nigeria’s top artists that promised to release his third studio album in September has announced its postponement to next year, 2016.
Starboy CEO Wizkid has cancelled the September date of his album release, according to him, because he was inspired by 2Face Idibia’s all-star 40th birthday celebration at Eko Hotels and Suites last Sunday.
Wizkid cited the impact 2Face has made in the Nigerian music industry, noting that it would require more commitment to emulate it, hence the need to return to the drawing board.
The Ojuelegba hit singer posted a photo from the event’s red carpet, captioning it: “They never stop trying to bring me down, but God’s light forever shine! Celebrated the legend 2face Idibia1 last night! Epic! Made me realize how much I need to f**k the game up! So I’m moving my album to sometime next year! What a time to be alive.”
Captured Wizkid’s album is one of the more anticipated ones this September, considering the array of international superstars expected to feature on it.
According to him, he plans to release instead an EP that would house ten songs and their videos.

PDP Insists Democracy Sliding Under Buhari; Tells APC To Address Issues

Opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said it would not be deter from exposing the “deliberate agenda, already in motion, by the present administration to destroy the nation’s democracy and impose a dictatorship in the country.”
National publicity secretary of the PDP, Olisa Metuh and national publicity secretary of the APC, Lai Mohammed
PDP, on Saturday had accused President Muhammadu Buhari of crass abuse of power and warned Nigerians that the “nation is on a quick slide into fascism and official terrorism”.
But reacting to the PDP’s press statement, Lai Mohammed, the APC’s national publicity secretary, said: “Saturday’s press statement by the PDP is nothing but a thinly-veiled frontal assault on the relentless efforts of the Buhari’s administration to clean the Augean Stable of the last PDP federal government.
PDP, on Sunday, September 20, said despite blackmail and diversionary tactics by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its resorting to insults, threats and personal attacks on its leaders, instead of responding to issues of emerging fascism it raised on Saturday, September 19, 2015, “the APC and the Federal Government further confirm their intolerance, disdain for democracy and frenetic appetite for totalitarianism.
PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh in a statement on Sunday said Nigerians await answers to issues and would not be hoodwinked by the antics of APC’s spokesperson, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, whose cleverness in using insults, personal attacks and wild allegations to divert attention is well known.
“While we understand the nervousness of Alhaji Lai Mohammed to remain relevant, especially in the face of desperation for an appointment, this administration must come to terms with the fact that democracy requires accountability, adherence to the rule of law and constitutional order, and not the crass infractions, executive arrogance, intolerance and undermining of the legislature; the symbol of the sovereignty of the people that we now witness under the APC,” Chief Olisa Metuh, PDP’s national publicity secretary said in a statement on Sunday, September 20, 2015.
The Party questioned the APC on some of the alleged excesses of President Muhammadu Buhari including “ruling without a constitutional component of a cabinet, persistent abuse of power, corrupting of democratic institutions, quest to appropriate the National Assembly, in spite of the principle of separation of powers; invasion of state government and personal houses, injecting confusion into the judiciary and hounding of individuals perceived to be against its interests.”
The statement further reads; “What is APC’s position regarding the anti-democratic statement by the President, who, in an interview, during the recent visit to France, expressed his reluctance to appoint ministers, in addition to his disparaging allusion to cabinet ministers as noise makers? Does this not smack of totalitarianism?
“How else can one explain the relentless interferences in the activities of the National Assembly, a separate and independent arm of government, in addition to the bitterness with which the Presidency and the APC hold the duly elected leadership of the Senate, simply because it is not occupied by their preferred candidates?
“If not for a possible ulterior motive of appropriating the federal legislature as a means to undermine its statutory role of checks and balances and set the stage for dictatorship, what other reasons could there be for the current fixation on the leadership of the Senate by the APC and the Presidency?
“Nigerians are still waiting for APC, a party which prides itself as a progressive platform, to respond to the widely condemned invasion of Akwa-Ibom state government house by the Department of State Services (DSS), under the direct instructions from the Presidency. Is it not part of the plot activated for possible forceful takeover of PDP states and impose a one-party regime in Nigeria?
“What about the July reprehensible invasion and sealing of Rivers local councils by the federal controlled Police, who also barred members of caretaker committees that were duly appointed by the state government to take charge of the councils?
“In the same vein, how else can one explain the undue interferences of the DSS in the activities of election tribunals in PDP controlled states of Rivers, Akwa-Ibom, Delta, Abia, Taraba and others where electoral officers are being harassed, intimidated and detained, ostensibly to influence judgments against the PDP?
“This is not to talk about the intolerance and arrogance witnessed in the venom with which the APC attack well-meaning Nigerians, including highly revered national leaders, for daring to counsel the Federal Government on some observed undemocratic tendencies under their ‘new Sheriff’, a development which has resulted in the setting in of an environment where citizens, irrespective of political affiliations, can no longer freely express their views.

“Whilst we note the failed efforts of the APC spokesman to divert attention, we invite the Presidency and the APC to be informed that their attempt to harass and/or intimidate us with plethora of well instigated, sponsored, immature and wild allegations can never deter us from remaining focused on issues.
“Nevertheless, as we restate our commitment in providing issue-based opposition as well as our support for the fight against corruption, our final word for the APC spokesman on this, is that being ethically challenged, includes embezzling funds meant for fencing of an airport in an APC-led South West state. It also includes fraudulently refusing to supply ambulances after collecting monies from another APC South West state.”
