OUTCRY FROM HIGSS STUDENTS

I would like to start by telling you what HIGSS stands for...
It stands for Hassan Ibrahim Gwarzo Secondary Schools. Two schools, a girls school and a boys school,Owned by a man, the man known as the great achiever, a man of principles, many people regard the school as a one mans school because only he has the final say on all matters. Who is this man?

He is but a man,
Honesty through spirits to the bone
He is firm in decision like igneous rock
He is morally upright, academically vibrant & ethically oriented
He is an example of wisdom, ideologically inspiring & motivating
He is unique in taste, elegant in style & modest in outfit
He is always in fight for the masses progress
He is stepping stone to many peoples success
He is a professional in the field of determination
He is a man of vision & mission
He is a leader with fire in his belly but humanity in his heart
He is instrumental in the actualization of many people dreams & aspirations
He is a role model, a paradigm worthy of emulation

And this man is PROF. IBRAHIM ALKALI AYAGI OFR.

And this man has taken it upon himself to train peoples children like his very own, giving them whats best & the best for them in the hope that he will give the Islamic society what they've craved for a long time. He gave them an opportunity to kill two birds with a single stone,he gave them HIGSS, a school where western education and Islamic knowledge & traditions are merged to bring out the best in every student who is fortunate enough to attend the school.

He is at the school almost everyday and in his last interview, he said 'it was the most significant thing in his life'. Although, presently, such schools have been opened, HIGSS College remains the cheapest and i can proudly say the BEST. We are looking forward to our SILVER JUBILEE & in more than twenty (20) years we have not had something like this, we've always stood out & the name of the school is enough to turn heads admiringly, but a few weeks ago, SOMETHING HAPPENED! We don't know how the incident got out but it DID and since then, the boys school has been closed and it still is. It has been a great disturbance to parents, the school authority and students themselves (both past and present).

The PROF. has always been a strong man, but he is not as young as he was once and yet, some people have taken it upon themselves to add SALT TO OUR INJURIES. We've been insulted, criticized, lied upon and even those we expected to stand for us are turning their backs on us, so i ask:

 What do they really want?

Is it the school they want to sieze from existing?
Pardon me to say this; HIGSS will last to a time yet unknown. If nobody will fight for us, we will fight, we've always been a FAMILY & we will fight for our FAMILY. We are going to make it bigger, brighter, stronger and BETTER. We are not going to sink like the TITANIC, for the titanic was made by man and steered by man but HIGSS was made by man but steered by GOD, so we will accept this as test of FATE, we were merely hit not broken so we are going to stand up stronger than any one has ever imagined.
As for the government of kano state, i did'nt know it will take you this long to investigate HIGSS as I believe this is not the first time we heard of such incidence from a boarding school in Kano State/Nigeria or even the World at large. We are glad you made us an exception by taking it upon yourselves to tackle this issue before it grows, not that we would'nt have done it ourselves, we've always taken care of ourselves you know and we humbly admit making a mistake but we WILL avoid any such occurence in the future INSHA ALLAH.
I'm also glad to let you know that I've done some digging on my own and i found out that this is more rampant in Government schools, start investigating and thank me later.
Lastly, this man has done this world and the Islamic society a favour, so we should THANK him and try to emulate him not sit on our fat asses and accuse him. He is a God sent and we don't expect to see people like him; transparent, glowing and with wings, so they come in human forms like us, they come in people like PROF. Ibrahim Ayagi and a few others. I'm not saying he is the best, but his types are rare, very rare.
So whether you finished HIGSS 1996 or 2015 ( I know it's you it will hurt the most, the ones there right now are a little bit young to understand), do a little more protesting and a lot more praying and ALLAH (SWA) whom we've been taught in HIGSS to always turn to will wipe our silent tears and heal our aching hearts.

I Hope APC Doesn’t Break – Okupe

Doyin Okupe, the former senior special assistant to former president Goodluck Jonathan, has reacted to on-going friction between the All Progressives Congress and Senate President Bukola Saraki.
According to him, he hopes the party doesn’t break up due to the on-going trial that has beleaguered Senator Saraki, at the Code of Conduct over alleged corruption and false declaration of assets.
Okupe added that anything that affects the party is also a threat to the Nation.
Okupe took to his Facebook page on Thursday, September 25, to share his message to Nigerians.
He said: “I did in the past predict that the APC will break up, but that was before the APC formed the government. Now that they are in government, it is not in my interest or that of any reasonable or patriotic Nigerian to wish that they break up.
“A break up of the APC now has the capacity to undermine the current political process and the entire political dispensation we are passing through to the detriment of the country and the innocent masses.
“But what is currently going on is ominous and dangerous and will require wisdom and extreme tact from all the dramatis personae, remembering always that an ill wind does not blow anyone any good.”
Doyin Okupe

Doyin Okupe
According to Okupe, Nigerians should not see the trial of Saraki as a ‘soap opera’ but as a bad omen for democracy.
He said: “To ordinary watchers of Nigerian politics, the on-going ordeal of the Senate President may be an interesting soap opera. But to more discerning minds, it is nothing short of a tragic comedy.
“Over the years, Nigerian politicians fail over and over again to convince anybody that they actually learnt anything from our chequered political history. This is why we have had many republics in our national history.
“Winston Churchill said the failure to act when action would have been simple and effective, lack of good reasoning, and confusion of counsel, all these lead to endless repetition of history.”
Although Okupe noted that he’s not a friend of Saraki because he (Saraki) dumped the PDP in 2014 and contributed to the failure of the party during the last elections, the former President’s aide revealed he’s not a critic of the Senate President.
Okupe added that he was in no way protecting Saraki but the overall interest of Nigerians.
He said: “I am personally not a supporter of Dr. Saraki and for good reason. He spearheaded the demolition of the PDP and the eventual catastrophic electoral misfortune of the Goodluck Jonathan presidency. Neither am I a detractor of the Senate President.”
Okupe new position contradicts his earlier stance on the party.
Okupe had, in December 2013, said that he would change his name if APC still existed after one year due to what he described as lack of leadership deficiency shortly after it was founded.
Okupe had said: “What kind of political party is that and you are taking them seriously,” he continued, “It is a politically defective and weak organisation, and by coming to the national stage, the wind is going to blow them open. If they don’t crumble and disappear by 2014, don’t call me Okupe. The APC boat is destined for the Red Sea.”

Couple Murdered By Unknown Men In Enugu

Tragedy struck in Amaja community as the bodies of a couple simply identified as Mr and Mrs Marel Abah were discovered with their throats slit on Wednesday, September 21.
According to Vanguard, the couple was staying in a house that was isolated from other building in the community in a town between Enugu and Benue in Igbo-Eze north local government area of Enugu
It was reported that at about 2.15 am, some unidentified men entered the house where the couples were sleeping and slit their throats. Due to the remoteness of the house, the crime was not discovered until the perpetrators had escaped.
The unfortunate incident elicited public reaction and the police had to intervene to restore peace and order.
Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, the state police public relations officer said the couple were slaughtered like sacrificial lambs and left to bled to death.
“The men gained access into the house located in an isolated axis of the town, had their throats slashed with knife like a sacrificial lamb. They were left in a pool of their own blood.
“The couple bled profusely and as a result, gave up the ghost before it could be noticed. The attention of the security operatives were however drawn to the unfortunate incident by members of the community. A full scale investigation has commenced into the alleged incident with a view to identifying those behind the dastardly act.
“The corpses have been deposited at the hospital morgue of Ogurute General Hospital for autopsy.”

Professor Soremekun Says Buhari Is Not A Nigerian

Professor Soremekun analyses , saying that the president is not a typical Nigerian.

Have we really had any novel policy thrusts since Buhari took office?

As I contemplate the Nigerian condition or non-condition, I continue to marvel at contemporary happenings. The nirvana is certainly not here yet. Still, it is possible to discern new ozone in public life. Suddenly, public officials are more responsive.
The refineries appear to be working. Petrol queues, for now at least, are gone. Electricity supply seems to have improved.
And therefore one is tempted to ask: What has happened? Have we really had any novel policy thrusts since Muhammadu Buhari assumed the Presidency of the country? As a student of public affairs, it is possible to answer this question in the negative. Yet, there is new ozone in public life.
It does not take much to appreciate that, what has happened so far is that the president’s reputation and sheer force of personal example have probably sly truck the fear of God in people who run our institutions.

Buhari’s recent public declaration of his assets

The upshot is that a novel and positive lease of life seems to pervade the land one striking instance here is President Muhammadu Buhari’s recent public declaration of his assets. As we all know by now, these assets are now in the public space.
And if those details are true, then what has been declared should sear the conscience of all past and present public officers, particularly at the highest of levels. Here is a man, who has been in control of vast resources as a military governor, minister of petroleum and a former Head of State.
Yet, all that he could claim to own are houses and lands in places like Port Harcourt, Kaduna and Abuja as well as N30n in his bank account. To be sure, by the general Nigerian standards, Buhari is not a poor man. But by the jaded and conscienceless standards of his peers, he certainly comes up short-at least in materialistic terms.
Some people with warped values are even likely to snigger and ask: Is this the entire worth of this man? Probably yes. But on the platform of morality, very few of his peers can really hold up the candle to him.
And this is partly why, I have dared to state here that, Buhari is not a Nigerian. If he was the typical Nigerian in public life, he would be in possession of trillions, cash wise and non-cash equivalents in other areas like properties and jets ownership.
Even then, the declaration in itself has sparked off implicit and explicit comparisons, which seem to indicate that this man stands out. Indeed, some people with a dark sense of humour or out of sheer wonder and concern have pointed out that the average local government chairman in Nigeria (where else?) is richer than Buhari.
And of course and as we all know, this may well be true. But, what is perhaps much more revealing especially in these times is that other public officials are refusing to be drawn into the ring of public asset declaration. Take our elected governors for instance. Either out of ignorance or mischief, they are saying that there are no statutory provisions which require them to do so. Very much the same bankrupt postures can be observed on the part of the senators and members of the House of Representatives who, by the way, are supposed to be distinguished and honourable.

Why Buhari’s contentions are very instructive

Meanwhile, and as revealed in newspaper reports, Buhari appears to be exasperated by the fact that, despite his attempts to come clean with what he owns, he appears to have opened up another round of controversy on this issue. In a sense, this is only to be expected. Vultures as they are won’t have to feed on something. Which are why, the General’s contentions are very instructive. According to him, in the course of his public life, he has declared his assets four times since 1974. At the risk of being contradicted, I do not think that any Head of State or public official has come forth in this way.
However, for the records, as well as balance, it is relevant to state here that in the recent past, former president Umaru Yar’Adua, and his then deputy, Goodluck Jonathan, respectively declared their assets. But when the latter mounted the saddle as the point-man of our system, and the self-same issue came up, he pointedly and memorably remarked: I do not give a damn! Which is just as well. For in a rather Freudian and self-indicting way, Jonathan was known to declare in another context that some of our leaders behave like motor park touts!
But even then, before I am done, since Buhari has bitten the bullet, it may be useful for other public officials to do the same. I am referring here to governors, ministers, and the invisible army of invincible permanent secretaries. And to President Buhari, he should take heart. After all, my ancestral folk, in their eternal wisdom, have always said that if you indict someone for cooking a bad soup, what will you do to the person who has cooked none?
Last line: I am sure that the hidden dimensions of Buhari’s assets would have been exposed by now if such information was available.
Soremekun is a Professor of political science at the National Open University of Nigeria.

Exclusive Interview: My Road Travel Experience To African Countries

Ogbonnaya Kanu, a renowned biker, shared his road travel experience with Aderonke Bello of Naij.com. In this interview, he talked about his passion for biking and his near death experience during his adventurous quest to travel round Africa and Europe by road.
Ogbonnaya Kanu. Credit: Naij.com media
How long have you been riding Motorbikes and when was your first time.
Kanu: This year, 2015, marked the 10th year of my riding. It was sometime in early January of 2005 that I started, and my first ride was from the riding school to action, to my house. Very scary experience but confidence and courage came with my continued riding. My first trip was around Nigeria and it was in 2008, November.
Ogbonnaya Kanu in Austria. Credit: Naij.com Media
Why did you travel by road from South Africa to Lagos?
Kanu: It was just another thing to do. Having been in the northern direction during my trip to Europe, the southern direction trip now beckoned. And I heeded the call.
What challenges did you encountered?
Kanu:Before the trip there was the challenge of getting all the visas for the countries I was going to visit. I live in Lagos and all the countries except South Africa have their embassies in Abuja. That meant flying to and fro every other week. In the case of Angola, it was a bit more tedious and I need to make the trip 4 times to get the visa. Another challenge was Ebola. The border between Cameroon and Nigeria was closed as a result of the disease…another hurdle to cross…I had to change my whole travel itinerary and at a point my trip was close to being jettisoned. Once I started moving all was well except that as a Nigerian during the Ebola crisis, the disease’s identity loomed over me…so quite a few places, I was treated differently for the fear that I might be infected.
Ogbonnaya Kanu in Gabon. Naij.com Media
How did you manage to travel on water?
Kanu: Actually most of my trip was over land. The only big body of water that required a crossing was the Congo River. A passenger ferry service was all that was available and I had to take my motorcycle on the passenger ferry. This boat could take on 20 people at a time and I had to pay for five as the weight of the bike meant some passengers had to be dropped. It was a 10 minute boat ride and we crossed the river at a point where I was told it was 17km wide.

Which other countries have you ridden your motorcycle to?
Kanu: Well the list just got longer but I will say it goes like this
Benin, Togo, Ghana, Niger, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Mali, Senegal, Mauritania, Western Sahara, Morocco, Portugal, France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Bulgaria, Wales, England, South Africa, Namibia, Angola, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Cameroon, Canada,USA.
Ogbonnaya Kanu in Namibia. Credit: Naij.com Media
What project are you doing to encourage and ensure safe bikings in Nigeria?
Kanu: A friend and I started the Ride Easy Motorcycle Training school where we have trained over 250 men and women on how to become riders. We regularly hold Advanced Rider Training sessions. This has seen a decrease in accidents as riders are better trained to handle the difficulties our environment poses. We are working on something even bigger, another first for Nigeria that will take motorcycle training to the next level and all I can say about it now is that it is very big.

Independence: Buhari Approves 'Only' N70m For Celebration

Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly approved about N70million for the celebration of this year’s Independence Day commemoration on October 1.
The president, who is said to be under pressure following the dwindling revenues of the country, could only approve the said amount for the Independence celebrations.
Nigeria’s president Muhammadu Buhari, reluctantly approved N70 million for Independence Day celebration
This much was revealed by Babachir Lawal, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, OSGF, during a chat with journalists.

Vanguard reports that Buhari reluctantly approved the said amount after complaining that the money ought to be used for something else other than frivolities.
“This year’s celebration is, indeed low key because the present administration appreciates the economic hardship that Nigerians and the nation is confronted with today and he almost slashed it downward from N70m.
“To address the situation, government has adopted a general policy to be very prudent in the management of our financial resources, so this year’s celebration is, therefore, in consonance with the cost-saving policy direction of this administration,” the SGF explained.
Lawal further said: “four events have been approved by the president to manage the entire celebration process”.
“The events are: Jumat prayers, international thanksgiving service, ceremonial change of guards and a children’s party.

“Apart from these four events the president will also address the nation on Oct 1.
“To ensure a successful commemoration, four sub-committees have been constituted to handle the preparations for each of the four events.”
The Nigerian president, , is also set to assist Burkina Faso on resolving

The militants who are under the group Bakassi Freedom Fighters said the state government has abandoned them since they dropped arms and took the federal government amnesty threatened to vandalize pipelines at Frontier Oil Limited, FOL, and interrupt events at the Ibom International Airport and ExxonMobil.

Speaking through the spokesperson of the group, Commander Ebong Friday, said the state government has defaulted on the agreement reached with ex-militants in 2011.
“The Akwa-Ibom state government has neglected our members since we dropped our arms to embrace the Federal Government Amnesty Programme. We have waited this long to see whether the state government would see reasons to empower us to become independent so that we do not remember the past but government seems to have only deceived us.”
“So, the only way to remind the government of its promises to us is to disrupt activities in Akwa-Ibom Airport, ExxonMobil and vandalize pipelines at the FOL-Frontier Oil Limited.

“It is very unfortunate that the state government is taking us for granted, we dropped our arms at the course of the Presidential Amnesty Programme and embraced peace. “It was the Akwa-Ibom state government that pleaded with us to embrace the Amnesty Programme and we surrendered our arms with an agreement that they will train and integrate us in the society,” he said

Managing the lives of over 7 billion humans is a daunting task. Our duty to this planet has spanned across centuries and survived even the most established government entities. To continue functioning throughout societal changes, The Illuminati’s operations require anonymity for both our members and our work.
You will not find us praised in any history book or document. However, The Illuminati has helped shape every major movement on this planet since the first human government was established. Our work is often marked by distinct symbols as a means of tracing our influence through history for those wishing to investigate.
With gentle and unknown guidance from our organization, the human species is allowed to function in their natural order while playing the part of gears in a machine for the betterment of the world.

Kanye West Clears The Air & CONFIRMS That Tidal Is NOT Run By The Illuminati! Good To Know!

Kanye West wants the Illuminati jokes to stop!! Well that's certainly a relief!!
Kanye West followed in his wife Kim Kardashian's footsteps when he recently graced the cover of PAPER magazine, but he also took it a step further by writing his very own cover story about The American Dream!
At least that's what we think it was supposed to be about…
In true Yeezy fashion, the story is filled with tons of tangents and stories about important things like getting high on nitrous gas at his dentist's office!
But the true gem comes when Ye goes on a rant on why he's sick and tired of all of the jokes about Tidal being run by the Illuminati! Yes, this is a real thing! Kanye writes:
"I heard a comment — a joke — about the Tidal press conference being an Illuminati moment. If there was actually an Illuminati, it would be more like the energy companies. Not celebrities that gave their life to music and who are pinpointed as decoys for people who really run the world. I'm tired of people pinpointing musicians as the Illuminati. That's ridiculous. We don't run anything; we're celebrities. We're the face of brands. We have to compromise what we say in lyrics so we don't lose money on a contract."
Wow! We had no idea this was such a pressing issue!
Especially when you consider Tidal has much BIGGER fishsticks to fry considering they JUST had to replace a CEO!
But hey, we guess this whole Illuminati theory is pretty important too!

You Are A Noise Maker – Army Chief, Buratai, Tells Boko Haram Leader

Buratai-e1442856804316
Nigeria’s chief of army staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai has dismissed as mere noise making the claims in a new audio by Abubakar Shekau, the elusive Boko Haram leader.
Buratai described the audio as `another desperate move by the group to find relevance.’
He said the group no longer has the capacity to hold any ground or plan co-ordinated attack on strategic locations or key public facilities.
“I think the new Boko Haram leader, in the latest audio is just trying to sound relevant; but as far as I am concerned, he is irrelevant in the scheme of things, he is irrelevant to me.
“ Have you seen any of them coming out apart from the suicide bombings? You can see the number of terrorists that are escaping from their camps; he is just making noise to remain relevant,’’ he said.
The Army Chief who also reacted to Sunday’s bomb blast in Maiduguri, urged residents of the area to remain calm as measures were being taken to forestall re-occurrence.
He said the bomb attack had provided clues of the remaining areas the insurgents were operating from in the state.
“Sunday’s bomb blast will be among those that will be the last, you can be counting them, it has opened up another window where we can now focus where these attacks are coming from.
“It will not be possible for them to penetrate other areas; for now we have knocked them off areas along from Yobe and some parts of Borno.
“Immediately this incident happened yesterday, I gave directive and we will comb that area thoroughly to identify where they are operating from,’’ he said.
